Programs for Different Age Groups

Aiglon College Switzerland has designed engaging programs that help each child reach their full potential. For children aged 3 to 6, the curriculum includes mathematics and English literature, with projects in history, geography, technology, and ecology. Lessons are structured around seasonal themes and key questions. French is taught by experienced teachers for both native speakers and beginners.

Hands-On Learning at Aiglon College Switzerland

At ages 7 to 8, children transition to practical activities that develop critical thinking and teamwork skills. They apply their knowledge in real-world situations, enhancing understanding and engagement. The school’s values are integrated into educational trips across Switzerland. Personalized attention and small classes combine rigorous academic preparation with experiential learning.

Multilingual Environment

Preparation for senior school at Aiglon College Switzerland builds on the principles established in earlier stages. In this multicultural community where 23 languages are spoken, English serves as the common language. Native languages and the learning of new ones are encouraged. Character is developed not only in the classroom but also through various programs, such as the Manchester City Football School, expeditions, skiing, and playing orchestral instruments.

IB Program at Aiglon College Switzerland

For senior students, Aiglon College Switzerland offers the academically challenging and comprehensive IB program. Recognized globally, this program serves as a bridge to university education. Students choose six subjects from different fields, including native and foreign languages, natural and social sciences, mathematics, and the arts.

Three subjects are studied at a higher level and three at a standard level. Key components include the theory of knowledge, the extended essay, and creativity, activity, service (CAS) projects.

Achievement Assessment

In addition to final exams at the end of Grade 13, students’ knowledge and skills at Aiglon College Switzerland are assessed through regular feedback, mock tests, and internal assignments, which usually account for 20% of the final grade. The choice of IB subjects is a significant decision, so students consult with coordinators, consider their previous IGCSE results, and think about their future plans.
